The River is a song about being stuck by anxiety, about always trying to be what everyone else wants you to be and about trying to find a place where you can be away from your own head for a while. It's also one of the most fun songs to play live because the end involves a lot of group shouting, which is pretty therapeutic actually ;-)

Sleeve Notes...
This is a track about being a long way from home, chasing a dream and realising that maybe that dream isn't what you thought it was. It's about being lost in a strange and unfamiliar city and that "what am I doing here?" moment. Check out the video we made for it. We think it's pretty darnedly cool...
Bombs

Bombs is about "that guy". You've met him. He bumps your shoulder in a bar. He screams at you in traffic. He's angry about something, but he's not sure what. He's got blood on his face and he's smiling. He might be a friend of yours, your brother, someone at work, someone in charge of running your country... he might even be you.

Sleeve Notes...
This is a song about watching someone head off into the unknown, knowing that they'll be fine, even if they don't see that themselves. A single flower remaining on a climbing rose in a garden for the whole winter, whatever the weather threw at it, served as inspiration for the song - a metaphor for the resilience of person the track is about.
